An important item for the home, workplace and particularly for those who are actively out and about in an environment likely to encounter a venomous snake. Although they are unlikey to bite (and would prefer not to!), it is important to be prepared! Eastern/Coastal bearded dragon (Pogona barbata)
As well as working with wild reptiles, we are also heavily involved with captive animals. We keep pet GENUINE Eastern bearded dragons and sell their offspring annually. All proceeds go directly back into our animal care and education.
This species is one of 5 reptile species that can be kept without a licence/permit within the ACT – just make sure to hang on to your receipt or proof of purchase. They make fantastic family pets or additions to a work place or school environment.
We only sell healthy animals that come from a clean and caring environment. We offer you the great lifetime advice and show you how to set up your enclosure to make sure your new dragon is both physically and mentally healthy. Please feel free to contact us via phone, email or our facebook page to get more information about these little beauties.
PRICE: $100 each. We will also price match pet stores (with proof of the selling price and applicable store) to make sure you’re getting the right animal (see below).
Unfortunately we are one of few breeders in the ACT that actually have this species. Most pet stores and private breeders actually have Central/Inland bearded dragons (Pogona vitticeps)- which you DO need a licence/permit for. These animals are then sold on to the general public – either due to lack of education from the seller, but more commonly lack of knowledge from the buyer in regards to species identification (i.e. the seller doesn’t care because of the $$$$ involved for them). If you have purchased a bearded dragon from elsewhere and would like to know if you are keeping the wrong species and what you can do about it, please feel free to contact us. Reptile licencing/permits are in place for environmental purposes and to protect our wild animals.
